World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world.  It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

HAART has recognized World AIDS Day the past six years by hosting events that celebrate art and life.  Our most treasured medium for conveying HIV Prevention and Awareness is our HIV Awareness Poster Contest featuring designs from local art students.  The posters are displayed at our World AIDS Day event and guests vote on their favorites.  For five years in a row our sponsor, Avita Pharmacy has awarded the winners $500 scholarships! The 2016 theme was Community Commitment. This year in light of our theme, we decided to host a virtual voting contest! Below are the winners!
