HAART currently serves as the lead fiscal agency for
distribution of federal Ryan White CARE Act Title II funds
through the La. Dept of Health and Hospitals' Office of
Public Health (OPH) HIV/AIDS Program. HAART provides
direct assistance to clients by partnering with Volunteers of
America, LSU Health Science Center's Mid-City Clinic, and
First Transportation Corporation d/b/a Yellow Cab.
Through these agencies HAART provides eligible clients
with case management services, dental care, medications,
primary medical care, transportation, and emergency
assistance. HAART has successfully served as lead fiscal
agency for distribution of Title II funds in the Baton Rouge
area for more than nine years.
Total funding for 2005-2006 is $1,703,000.
