Dining Out For Life

Save the date Baton Rouge!  HAART's third annual Dining Out For Life is Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Baton Rouge is now #1 for AIDS cases in the US and HAART needs ample funding to continue our efforts to serve families impacted by this disease. The Dining Out For Life® campaign is more than just a fundraiser. Its platform will help us spread the word about HIV/AIDS in our community, an urgent need in Baton Rouge.

All the proceeds of this event help HAART continue to provide health insurance assistance, housing, case management, and prevention and outreach services to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.

To learn more about the event, please go to www.diningoutforlife/batonrouge.

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

This globally-recognized memorial is among the world’s oldest HIV/AIDS remembrance, awareness and community action events. The Candlelight Memorial supports individuals living with HIV/AIDS by reducing negative stigma, promoting testing and prevention, and continuing the fight against this disease. This year we recognize the 30th anniversary of the memorial and the theme “in solidarity”.

For the Baton Rouge observance, HAART has planned a candlelight vigil and a memorial walk from North Boulevard Town Square to City Hall.
