AIDS Planning Council
(NORAPC)
HAART was selected in February 2001 and continues to serve as fiscal agent for the
New Orleans Regional AIDS Planning Council (NORAPC).  NORAPC is a function of
the Mayor's Office of Health Policy and provides community input for the allocation of
Ryan White Title I funds.  Nearly $6 million assists more than 3,000 individuals living
with HIV/AIDS who reside in the New Orleans eligible metropolitan area (EMA).  The
NORAPC budget for 2005-2006 totals $399,000.
Source of funding:  City of New Orleans Mayor's Office of Health Policy from federal
Ryan White CARE Act Title I assistance through the Department of Health and
Human Services (HHS) Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA).
